CellStrat AI Lab continues to engage both young and old professionals with increasingly advanced sessions being presented by the lab members.

Last Saturday in Noida, Bhavesh Laddagiri, our youngest AILab member, a Computer Vision Researcher and First Yr. Student of SRM Engineering College presented an indepth presentation on Transfer Learning for Image Classification. Its a deep learning topc but he presented it well enough with good explaination and examples so both young and senior professsionals attending the lab from large companies could undrstand the concept with ease.
He showed how Transfer Learning can be used in various ways using VGG16 model:

He showed how training works in Transfer Learning and then spoke about when Transfer Learning can be used.

Next came presentation by Sonal Kukreja, our team lead for Delhi-NCR AILab. She spoke on Content based Image Retrieval and used Gradient Orientation Histogram (HOG) Descriptors for identifying Car logos as an example. She showed how HOG descriptors work, its pros and cons and accuracy levels achieved.
